Why ICT in Our Daily Teaching Learning Process?
ICT is an extensional term for information technology (IT) that
stresses the role of unified communications and the integration of
telecommunications (telephone lines and wireless signals) and computers, as well
as necessary enterprise software, middle ware, storage, and audiovisual systems,
that enable users to access, store, transmit, and manipulate information.
Information and Communications
Technology (ICT) has an important role in the world since we are now in the
information age ere. With ICT, the company can make the business easier to
happen with the client, supplier and the distributor. It is also very important
in our daily lives. The lack of information at the right time will result in
low productivity, low quality research works, and waste of time to pursue
information. Nowadays ICT cannot be separated with our daily needs.
ICT is the mode of education that
uses information and communications technology to support, enhance, and
optimize the delivery of information. One way to improve the quality of
educations is to make use of efficient technology in an institution. This will
open up more opportunities for teachers and students as well.
The use of ICT in teaching-learning
process is a relatively new phenomenon and it has been the educational
researchers’ focus. The effective integration of this technology into classroom
practices poses a challenge to teachers and administrators. However, the
presence of all these factors increased the chance of excellent integration of
ICT in teaching-learning process. Therefore, the training of teaching staff in
the pedagogical issues and administrators in administration are convinced of
the value of using ICT in our teaching-learning process and administration.
